"Morning Mist, Rock Island Bend" - the photo that helped stop the damming of the Franklin. German born Peter Dombrovskis who grew to love all that was 'Tasmania' was one of the world's greatest wilderness photographers, particularly because he had a cause - to help preserve the wild places of of this great land. Peter died aged 50 doing what he loved in the remote Western Arthurs' mountain ranges of South West Tasmania.
He went into the woods & never returned, but at least he went in 'deliberately'.
