NECROPOLIS

This Morning I walked through the Melbourne general cemetery, one of the oldest & largest in Australia. As I wandered through I took photos of some of the statues which watch over the grave sites. I was delighted to find a cherry blossom in full bloom at a time when most have shed their flowers & begun to sprout foliage. A magpie, somewhat bemused by my actions, followed me from grave to grave & willingly posed for a photograph.
