TODAY'S TREASURE

Talking to my dad on the phone, he had just been told his best friend has Alzheimer's, dad was so vulnerable, so fragile, I could tell the news had hit him hard. My dad's a strong man, a tough man - it takes a lot to make him cry but he felt safe enough with me to allow himself to..... just a little.

This is strange...I think something we share in common. My father was also a very strong man but he found it easy to cry in my presence. I mean like a real baby.
Thanks for the memory. Most importantly, I think I understand what it must be for your dad, a tough man, to learn of such sad news especially as it reminds us that our time will be soon too.
God bless you
